FUNDS DISTRIBUTION

Once a Certification Statement and/or Application is received, a check will be sent directly to the student’s address on file.    Note:  The application alone will not suffice for funds to be distributed.   A completed FAFSA application for the 19/20 award year must be on file in order for students to receive funds. Student must be eligible for TITLE IV.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • HEERF is a federal emergency relief grant that does not need to be repaid. In addition, this grant will not reduce or replace a student’s financial aid award.

  • New York School of Esthetics & Day Spa, Inc. has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification, Agreement, and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, 100 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

  • Approximately 50 students are eligible for this grant out of a total of 70 students. Total amount of grant awarded to New York School of Esthetics & Day Spa, Inc was $35,792.00. Each student covered under the CARES Act will receive $715.84.

·         How did New York School of Esthetics & Day Spa, Inc. determine which students would receive an Emergency Financial Aid grant under Section 1800(a)(1) of the CARES Act and the amount they would receive?
Given the demographics of our student population and our location in communities hardest hit by the pandemic, New York School of Esthetics & Day Spa, Inc. determined that all of our eligible students had significant need for financial relief, so the Grant was equally distributed and a check was mailed out on July 1, 2020.

 

The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act legislation provides financial support to individuals and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
