LASER safety and OSHA standards
Advanced Skin and Hair Histology review
Indications/Contraindications
Legalities
Students will practice on the latest technology machines, performing treatments
on each other and live models.
Pre-requisites:
This course is open to Licensed Estheticians, Licensed
Cosmetologists, Licensed RNs, LPNs, Physicians Assistants, Physicians,
Certified Electrologists, Licensed Massage Therapists, or Licensed
Acupuncturists.

BIG News About NY State and LASER
New York State is reviewing a bill that would require all LASER technicians to have a NYS LASER license. This means that after the state passes this bill, not only do you have to take a class from an NYS licensed curriculum to be a laser practitioner, but you also must take a licensing exam from the state. If you take the class before they pass the bill, you will automatically be “grandfathered in”/acquire the license.
